These subjects help students build understanding of societies, cultures, history, and personal and social development(The Humanities department covers social sciences and general studies subjects, such as:
1. Geography
2. History
3. Social Studies
4. Life Skills (including civic education and personal development)
5. Bible Knowledge / Religious & Moral Education). .

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Humanities / Social Sciences.
2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Humanities subject + UCE
3. Must include relevant subject specialization (e.g., Geography, History, Social Studies, Life Skills and Bible Knowledge / Religious & Moral Education).

Notes:

Serving teachers with experience and qualifications may be eligible for promotion to higher grades within teaching service if they have these credentials.
Schools normally look for teacher training that includes pedagogy and the specific subject area
